STEPHEN TEPPERMAN

PRINCIPAL

Steve Tepperman co-leads KLG's corporate real estate practice.  With 40 years of experience in facilities planning, architecture, and project management, he has a broad base of knowledge and expertise in the planning and management of major corporate facilities and real estate projects. Mr. Tepperman has been responsible for the planning, design, and construction of several million square feet of corporate facilities, both in the United States and overseas. His experience in facility and workspace planning has been an integral component of many KLG assignments.

EXPERIENCE

For the last several years, Mr. Tepperman has been a part of the KLG team working with the New York Stock Exchange on their global data center strategy with specific responsibility to manage the design and construction of their new state-of-the-art U.S. data center. He has also worked with Credit Suisse First Boston on the planning of a new global business center and out-of-region data center and managed the development efforts of two new regional processing centers for Morgan Stanley, one in the U.S. and the other in Europe.

Prior to joining KLG Advisors, Mr. Tepperman was responsible for the coordination and oversight of the relocation of Morgan Stanley to their new headquarters at 1585 Broadway in New York City, a project encompassing 1,000,000 square feet with infrastructure improvements and tenant fit-out costs valued at several hundred million dollars.   He also worked with Condé Nast to strategize and plan their consolidation and move to their new 700,000-square-foot headquarters at 4 Times Square.

Over Mr. Tepperman’s career, he has held positions with the Exxon Corporation as head of their facility planning and design group. He acted in a similar role with Planned Expansion Group, a nationally oriented architectural firm. He served as director of corporate design and facility planning and as head of the Facility Advisory Services practice at Moran, Stahl & Boyer.
